I have been flying below the radar for some time (especially since becoming unemployed near the end of February this year). Since then, I went to E3 at the beginning of June, which was much nicer (read: a bit smaller) than the previous E3s of 2005 and 2006 that I attended, and I was able to demo a lot more things than I thought I would, along with talking to quite a few developers about their projects. All in all, I welcome back E3 to the "larger" format, one which I hope is a little more controlled and better managed.

On to the main topic of discussion: Anime Expo 2009!

Yes, I have been excited about going for a while now, but the excitement ramps up as it gets closer! This will be my 7th consecutive year attending both Anime Expo and San Diego Comic-Con International! Woohoo!!!

(Darn, now I feel old!)

Now since there are a few things going on tomorrow (aka "Day 0"), I might have to wait to get my badge pickup done until Thursday ("Day 1"). I will be there all four days, taking lots of pictures (especially cosplay photos) that will probably never see the light of day again... or that may change. I'm bad at following up on requests for pictures, so I think that this year I should be more proactive about posting my pictures (aka "actually posting photos and making people happy"), at least those that fall into the "best of" arena. Feel free to prod me, but only a little.

Other than cons, I am on the hunt for a job (tough economy in which to do so), but I have faith that I can get something new soon.

One final note: Michael Jackson may have passed away last week, but his influence and music will last for a long time to come.
